With broken hearts and disbelief, we announce that Adrian Kenneth Tibando, age 28, our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest on September the 2nd, 2022.
Anyone who was close to Adrian knows that for many years he fought a heroic battle with mental health. He was tormented with the pain of coping with bipolar disorder but with the continuous support of his loving family, he seemed to be persevering. He became more knowledeable and self-aware. This ignited a drive to become an advocate for others with this stigma. He recently enrolled in courses to further educate himself. Our memories of Adrian include his quick humour and big heart. He was a charismatic, fun-loving, and easy-going person. He had a deep love for his family and friends and cherished the time they spent together. Adrian's cheerful attitude and warm smile will forever be missed.
Left to remember and honour him are his parents Shelley (Doug Wilcox) Tibando, Ishtiak (Michel) Khan, and stepfather Gregory Ford; siblings, Lauryn Ford, Evan Ford, Samantha Wilcox, Inari Moore, Iyana Khan and Jayce Khan; grandparents, Ruth and Frank Tibando and Margaret Khan; aunts, Angie(Tony) Currie and Xania Khan; and numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Nazir Khan.
As a tribute to Adrian, let us ensure we let those struggling with mental health know they are not alone, that they are loved, worthy, and supported.
A celebration of life ceremony will be announced at a later date.
Contributions to the International Bipolar Foundation can be made in Adrian's name.
