Aleda (Lee) May Mehaffey

Our hearts are heavy with sadness as we share the unforeseen passing of Aleda May Mehaffey (Billers) in Barrie ON on July 10, 2025, at the age of 81. Aleda was a beloved wife, a cherished mother, a proud grandmother, and a caring sibling. Her presence brought kindness, warmth, love and laughter to all who knew her. 

Aleda was born on March 28, 1944, in Toronto ON to Rose Eveyln Marchment (Billers, Fall) and Walter John Billers. She was a caring sister to Rosalind Billers, Anne Bailey, Margaret Johnston (deceased), Lucille Armstrong, George Billers and Frank Billers (deceased) and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Aleda married her lifelong love, George Mehaffey, in 1964. Together they built a family and enjoyed their time camping, boating and cottaging with their 2 children, Douglas James Mehaffey (deceased), and daughter, Deborah Lee Moore (Shawn Eeles). 

Later in life Aleda enjoyed golfing, winters in Florida and always spending time with all her friends and family. She was a proud grandmother to Christopher Eeles (Erin Brooks) and Kyle Eeles who she loved dearly, always ready to spend time and make memories with them. Aleda will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all of us, especially her loving husband George of 61 years.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil ON L9S 1L5 on July 22, 2025. Visitation at 10am, Funeral Service at 11am followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Aleda’s memory.
