Audrey Marlene Jack (nee Thorsteinsson)

March 1, 1933 – September 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our wonderful mother Marlene Jack in her 93rd year. Pre deceased by her husband of 52 years, RCAF Capt. William (Bill) Jack.

Dear mother of Wilf Jack, Dawn Cyr (Joe), Sandi Baldwick (Ray), Barbara Poole (Tom).

Loving Ama of 8 grandchildren; Joseph Cyr, Jordan Cyr (Liz), Andrew Cyr (Kirstin), Melisa Baldwick (Nigel), Laura Baldwick (Ryan), Krista Baldwick (Max), Victoria Poole, Jack Poole.

Langamma of 8 incredibly cute great grandchildren; Avery, Charlie, Ben, Leif, Forrest, Sam, Leila, Hugo and one more on the way.

Marlene trained at St. Boniface Hospital in Manitoba where she earned her R.N. Degree. She spent most of her career working tirelessly as a kind, loving geriatric nurse in both Winnipeg and Barrie.

An avid volunteer all of her life, she assisted with Brownies, school activities, RCAF 441 (Huronia) Wing Association and board member of Barrie Skating Club.

Always a smile and hug for anyone (even if she just met you) and then she would say “It’s the Icelandic in me, we hug everyone”.

Visitation will be held at Innisfil Funeral Home 7910 Yonge St. Innisfil on Saturday October 4th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
