David Charles Amos Frost

It is with heavy hearts that we announce David passed away with family by his side, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the age of 85, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie.

Born on October 8, 1937, in Croydon, England, David's life was a testament to love, laughter, and cherished memories.

On November 6, 1958, David married the love of his life, Mara, and together they shared 63 beautiful years, a love that knew no bounds. Together, they built a life filled with joy and raised three wonderful daughters; Marina (Graham), Jacqueline (Ray), and Gabriella (Rob). David was a devoted father who took great pride in his family as they held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Being a grandad (Didi) to nine grandchildren and a great-grandad to eleven was a role he cherished and embraced wholeheartedly.

David was a corporate banker by profession and excelled in his career, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the institutions he served. In 1974, he embarked on a new chapter in life, relocating his family of five to Canada, where they embraced new adventures and opportunities. Beyond his professional life, David had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. His laughter was infectious, and he had a unique way of bringing joy and laughter to every gathering. He cherished the moments spent with his family and friends, especially during special celebrations, their friendly bowling matches, rounds of golf, and weekly card games.

David was also passionate about his family's history, as he took pleasure in sharing stories with his children and grandchildren, so they had a deeper understanding of their heritage and roots.

David leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. The memories of his laughter, guidance, and love will forever live in their hearts.

A private family graveside funeral will take place Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Innisfil. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 12:30pm - 3:30pm at Morgan Russell Memorial Arena & Community Centre 1354 Killarney Beach Rd, Lefroy, ON LOL 1W0.

To honor David's memory and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations can be made to the Salvation Army, an organization close to his heart.

David will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
