Francesco "Franco" Zamero

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Francesco “Franco” Zamero at his home on September 19, 2026.

Franco was born in Toronto, Ontario to his loving parents, Elio and Maria. He was the beloved brother of Adrianno and Silvano.

Franco was the devoted husband and soulmate of Pamela, with whom he shared more than 30 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. They cherished their time together and truly loved the life they shared.

He was a loving and devoted dog-dad to his two beloved rescue dogs, Daphne and Elsie, who brought him endless joy and companionship.

Franco was predeceased by his parents, Elio and Maria, and his brother, Silvano.

A skilled and dedicated industrial millwright, Franco worked at Molson, Christie Brown, and Metrolinx throughout his career. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all things mechanical and could fix, build, or modify just about anything. He spent countless hours tinkering with his own car and truck, even replacing their engines twice. No challenge was ever too difficult for Franco. Whenever something seemed impossible, his familiar response was always, “Don’t worry, I’ll modify it.”

Franco had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed every season. Summers were spent camping, canoeing, and hiking, while winters brought opportunities for snowboarding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. He loved being outdoors, exploring new places, and sharing those experiences with Pamela.

Family and friends are welcome at the Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil) on Friday, September 25, 2026 for visitation from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to stay afterwards for a reception, where light refreshments and fond memories can be shared.

Franco will be deeply missed by Pamela, his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His kindness, humour, adventurous spirit, and remarkable ability to fix just about anything will never be forgotten.

He will remain forever in our hearts and memories.
