It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary Vern Daniel Hall announce his sudden passing on Monday, March 16th, 2026, in Cookstown, just shy of his 65th birthday.
Gary was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Annie Hall, whom he met in 1987 and married in 1992. She will miss him immensely. He was a proud and loving father to Trevor Hall (Sarah) and Nicole Grace (Cordell), and a cherished grandfather to Ayla Hall and Emma Grace, who brought him immeasurable joy.
He will be welcomed into Heaven’s gates by those who predeceased him: his brother Dave; his father, Delbert; his mother, Josie; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ann and Mike Johnson.
Gary leaves behind his siblings Darryl (Dana), Darlene (Chris), and Colleen, as well as his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Derrick (Josie), Darryl (Paula), Arthur, and Ethel (the late Bill Galant), along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Gary was known as the family handyman — always ready to lend a hand, fix what was broken, and help those he loved without hesitation. He found comfort in the simple things in life, especially his daily visits to Tim Hortons, where he enjoyed his coffee and familiar routines.
In recent years, Gary and Annie built a beautiful home in Cookstown, thoughtfully created with both of them in mind — a place of comfort, care, and shared memories that reflected the life they built together.
As per his wishes, a private cremation has taken place.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his generosity, and the steady presence he was in the lives of those around him.
Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us physically, the love he gave so freely will remain in our hearts forever — never leaving those who were lucky enough to know him.
