Genevieve Maureen Denomme

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Genevieve on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the age of 63. Survived by her cherished daughter Madison Leslie Pierce, former husband and friend Andrew Pierce, and sister Stephanie Simpson. Pre-deceased by siblings Dean Denomme, and Leslie Denomme, and by her parents Robert and Maureen Denomme.

Genevieve was a vibrant soul whose early years were illuminated by the summer camp her family ran in the Gatineau Hills of Quebec. Each summer, the camp welcomed 75-90 children, many of whom returned year after year, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. Amidst the beautiful cabins nestled in the expansive land, Genevieve found her passion for horseback riding. Together with her siblings, on her beloved horse, Troubadour, experiencing pure joy in the freedom of the ride. Often reminisced about the countless cherished memories created at the camp shared during swimming, sports, the warmth of campfires, skit nights, trips to the haunted house, and the adventure of overnight camping in the forest under the stars; filled her heart with happiness, leaving a smile on her face. She was an avid animal lover, and a very gifted painter, finding joy in challenging herself, always striving to enhance her skills. Music was another passion, often dancing through the living room as she played her favorite tunes.

Genevieve’s most treasured role was that of a mother to Madison, who she shared an inseparable bond, often described as best friends. Their days together were filled with laughter, shopping trips, breakfast outings, and memorable road trips. Genevieve took immense pride in her daughter’s accomplishments and never missed an opportunity to share her pride with others.

There will be a visitation held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge St. Stroud), from 2:00p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00p.m.
