John William Hempey

HEMPEY, John William - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12th, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Care Centre, Barrie, in his 77th year. Son of the late Thomas and Myrtle (nee Strike) Hempey. Beloved husband of Christine Hempey (nee Morris). Loving father of Sandra McGrath (Greg) and Geri Hempey (Jason). Cherished Papa of Kyle, Matthew and Alisha. Great-Grandpa to Marek. Dear brother of Tom, Paul, the late Ernie and Walter. Brother-in law of Don Morris, Lynn Hinkle and Carole Pinnell. Beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews and great friends. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, January 29th at The Wheel Recreation Centre located in Sandy Cove, Innisfil. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Kids (Toronto). We will hold him close within our hearts and there he will remain to walk with us throughout our lives until we see him again.
