Kenneth George Harmston

Peacefully at Fountain View in Toronto in his 95th year. Beloved husband to the late Mary (nee Gillespie). Loving and devoted father to Elaine Harmston. Affectionate companion to Mildred Sears. Predeceased by parents Walter and Rachel Harmston. Brother to Dorothy, Eileen, Marion, Edwin and Audrey. Ken will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

An auto mechanic by trade, Ken's skills came in handy whether building a boat, a house or sets for Gilbert & Sullivan plays in community theatre. He was an avid traveler and golfer, and he loved a good game of darts and bid euchre. The Breakfast Club with his delightfully rambunctious pals was his favourite way to spend the last Tuesday of the month.

Ken was tenacious, funny and caring.

He is loved. He is missed. He is at peace.

Family and friends will be received at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil (Stroud), on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11am until the time of service in the chapel at 12pm. All are welcomed to stay after for a reception. Ken will rest with Mary at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Innisfil, come Spring 2026.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Second Harvest or the Barrie Food Bank.
