Laurie Janice Mary Woods

March 29, 1952 — January 6, 2026

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Laurie Woods on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, in her 74th year.

Beloved wife of Paul for 56 years. Cherished mother of Dennis (Kris), Keith (Irene), Debbie (Josh), and Shalane (Greg). Loving grandmother of Annie, Tiger, Tia, Sarah, Hannah, Devyn, Shelby, Trace, and Katie. Survived by her siblings Glen, Paul, Randy, Perry, Wanda, Bonnie, and Stach.

Laurie was a devoted dog lover, she loved her dogs immensely, and very much enjoyed dog sports. Some of Laurie’s other hobbies included the strategic thinking required for a challenging board game or hand of Euchre, and the elegance of a well-solved math problem.

There will be a visitation held at Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge St., Stroud) on Sunday, January 11th, 2026, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm, and visiting on Monday, January 12th, 2026, from 1:00p.m until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00p.m. There will be a reception following the Funeral Service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in memory of Laurie to either the SickKids Foundation, or the  Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA).
