Linda McCutcheon

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda McCutcheon, along with her cherished cat, Ricki, on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Linda was a deeply loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, creativity, and compassion touched many lives.

Linda is now reunited with her beloved late husband, Dave McCutcheon, with whom she shared many years of love and partnership. She leaves behind her loving son Thomas McCutcheon and his partner Shannon, and will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Quinten, Owen, Lucas, and Dylan, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Born to Hank and Alice, Linda was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Henry and Pauline. She is survived by her brother Ron, who shared in many meaningful family moments.

A passionate animal lover, Linda found deep companionship in her pets—especially Ricki, who was always close by. She found joy and serenity in her garden, and was admired for her eye for beauty and her graceful, stylish presence. Linda also had a deep appreciation for the past—she was a thoughtful collector of old treasures and antique furniture, with a talent for finding charm and history in forgotten items and giving them new life in her home.

Linda faced challenges with quiet resilience, but her passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of mental health and connection. Those who loved her deeply hope she has found peace.

A Celebration of Life for both Linda and Dave McCutcheon will be held on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Big Cedar Clubhouse, 1844 Line 13 N, Hawkestone, ON L0L 1T0. As Dave passed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be a shared opportunity to honour and remember both Linda and Dave together. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together in love, remembrance, and reflection.
