Margaret Hilmer, beloved mother, grandmother, and a cherished friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2025, just shy of her 82nd birthday. Born on October 15, 1943, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and boundless curiosity.

She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially tending to her garden at her cherished home, where every bloom reflected her nurturing spirit. Her greatest pride and deepest love were reserved for her grandchildren each of whom she adored with all her heart.

Margaret’s adventurous soul led her across miles and memories, always eager to explore new places and reconnect with family. Her warmth and wisdom touched everyone she met, and her legacy lives on through her devoted daughters.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to blossom in the lives of those she held dear.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge St., Stroud). Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Margaret at the Funeral Home on Thursday October 16th, 2025, 2pm – 4pm.

If desired, donations can be made to an animal rescue or the planting of a tree in her memory — a tribute to her love for animals and the natural world.
