Monique Marie Jacqueline (Lemieux) Johnson

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Monique  (Marie-Jacqueline) Johnson (nee Lemieux) of Georgetown Ontario on April 25, 2023 at the beautiful age of 97, at Mill Creek Care Center in Barrie.  She was born on January 12, 1926 in Saint-Ludger Quebec to Georges and Vitaline (Poulin) Lemieux. She was a devoted wife to Geoffrey Johnson for 41 years of marriage until his passing in 2001. Monique was also a loving mother to Catherine and Thomas (Jane), and a cherished grandmother to Lauren, Ryan, Daniel and Samantha.

Monique was a courageous person who faced life's challenges with strength and resilience. She will be best remembered for her generous love and ability to lift people's spirits and bring joy and laughter wherever she went.

Monique’s legacy of courage, positivity, and kindness will live on through the memories of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to uplift and inspire us all.
