Norman (Norm) Hamilton McFarlin

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and papa Norman (Norm) Hamilton McFarlin on Monday, July 28th, 2025, at IOOF Nursing Home, in his 83rd year.

Devoted father to his son Jim (Shauna) McFarlin and his daughter Jenny (Rick) Dunbar. Loving Papa to Kelli (Chris) McGuire, Ashley and Melanie Dunbar.

Norm is survived by his former spouse Jaan McFarlin, brother-in-law Bob Hagerman, and his nieces Rita, Alice and Jennifer. Predeceased by his father and mother Gordon and Grace McFarlin, sisters Doris Hagerman and Joanne Bird, daughter-in-law Pamela McFarlin, and his dear and cherished friend Evelyn (Nana).

Norm grew up in Marmora, Ontario as a young child. From there he had a successful career as a laborer and settled in Toronto where he and Jaan raised their family. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leaf’s, Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Argonauts. Norm will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Norm’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at IOOF Nursing Home for their care and support given to their father over the past few years.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to join us at Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge St., Stroud, on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, from 11:00a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 12:00p.m. There will be a reception following the Service.
