Phyllis Anne Miller

September 9, 1953 — July 8, 2025

With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Phyllis Miller, who departed this world on the morning of July 8, 2025, at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. She was 71 years old.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, on September 9, 1953, Phyllis lived a life filled with creativity, compassion and showed strength through every obstacle she encountered. She was a gifted soul whose talents touched every part of her world.

In her younger years, Phyllis was an exceptional runner and took home many ribbons with her energy and determination. She was a talented writer of poetry, an incredible artist, and a devoted ceramicist whose hands could turn clay, canvas, or any medium into beauty—everything she touched truly turned to gold. Her artistic spirit knew no bounds.

A music lover at heart, Phyllis sang and played guitar, even performing at the Toronto Oral Arts Festival—a memory she and those who heard her never forgot.

Phyllis had a deep love for animals and supported many animal charities throughout her life. Her compassion extended to every living creature, and she gave generously to causes close to her heart.

Despite her many talents and accomplishments, Phyllis's later years were marked by chronic pain and complications from diabetes, which greatly impacted her life. Yet through it all, her spirit remained strong, and her love for those she left behind.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, April Anne Pearson-Gonzalez and Sabrina Rose Pearson-Munch, and her treasured grandchildren, Shyanne Rose Pearson-Munch, Christian Edward Alexsander Pearson-Munch, Kelly Car her brother and sister David Kucher and Judy Kucher-Mc Donnell. She is Predeceased by her husband James Fredrick Miller, mother Hazel Ellen Kucher, father Walter Kutcher and her sister Frances Kucher-Weir

She will also be dearly missed by her friends and by all whose lives she brightened with her love, creativity, and kindness.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10am at Innisfil Funeral Home, located at 7910 Yonge Street, Stroud, Ontario, L9S 1L5. All who knew and loved Phyllis are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Phyllis’s memory to consider a donation to an animal welfare charity in her name or to simply share a creative act—write a poem, paint, sing, or help an animal—in tribute to the beautiful life she lived.

She was light, even when the world was heavy. May she now rest in peace.
