It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our mother’s passing. Reanice Allen passed away peacefully at home April 20, 2026. While we are heartbroken, we find comfort knowing she was where she wanted to be, finally reunited with Bill, her husband of 56 years. A loving mother and grandmother. Loving sister to Eva and predeceased by brothers Raymond, Richard and Jack; also by sister's Margaret and Rita.
Born on Calumet Island, Quebec, Mom eventually ventured to St. Catharines, where she met our father and began their life together. They later moved to Richmond Hill, where she worked for Texas Instruments and then dedicated over 25 years to Reynolds Aluminum as a packer and shop steward.
My mother devoted her life entirely to her family, always giving everything she had and putting our needs above her own. She was a hardworking wife, sister, and grandmother—the poster child for strong women in a generation where that wasn't the norm. The void she leaves behind is horrendous, and she will be missed beyond words.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 1st, 2026, at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, and again from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. John Vianney's Parish, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00am; with interment following at St. Mary's Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Road, Barrie. All are invited back to the funeral home after the graveside-service for a time of reception and fellowship.
