It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Ricciardi, who departed peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Elaine Ricciardi (née Fantin), Robert was a devoted and loving partner whose humour, strength, and steadfast love will be deeply missed. He was the cherished son of Eva Ricciardi and the late Salvatore Ricciardi, and the beloved son-in-law of Anthony and Amelia Fantin. Robert was a loving brother to Maria (Franco) and a treasured brother-in-law to Daniel Fantin, David Fantin, and James Fantin (Madison). He was a proud and caring uncle to Adrienne (Jesse), Sabrina, Ryan, Jennifer, Amanda (Oscar), and Marlow, and a devoted great-uncle to Gabriel and Michael, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Robert also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Monty, and is now reunited with his cherished late companion, Odie, who held a special place in his heart.
Robert will be remembered for his many passions and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He was an avid fisherman and golfer who found peace on the water and on the course, so long as it was a par game! He had a great love for Formula 1 racing (Scuderia Ferrari), a deep appreciation for fine cigars, and a natural talent for carpentry, taking great pride in creating and building with his hands.
Above all, Robert will be remembered for his love of family, his generous spirit, and the strength and care he brought to those around him. He touched the lives of many through his loyalty and unwavering devotion to the people and pets he loved.
Robert’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he has left this world too soon, his legacy of love, resilience, and treasured memories will remain with his family always.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 11:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. at Innisfil Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe or CNIB Guide Dogs, two organizations whose care and compassion make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
