HOWARD, Thomas Victor - Tom passed away in his 71st year with family by his side on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Owen Hill Community Care Centre, Barrie, as a result of complications from Lewy Body Disease. Tom is predeceased by his parents Grace and Victor Howard, and by his in-laws, Gladys and Earl Smith. Beloved husband of Joanne Howard (nee Smith). Loving brother to Bill Howard, Betty Gregory (Tom), Shirly King (Roy), and Doug Howard. Amazing father to Erin Howard and Ted Howard (Jenny). Cherished “Catbar” to his first grandson and number one fan Tyler Lange., and loving grandfather to Leila and Keenan Howard. Also loved by his nieces and nephews, Howie Howard, Monica Attwood, Matt Tremblay, Kristine Cameron and Lisa Lamarche, Jonathan and Sarah King, and Travis, Kyle and Nolan Howard. Tom was raised in Grenfel and was a longtime resident of Innisfil, who will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. He spent many years on the Barrie Fair Board of Directors, including years as President and Vice President. Tom was a lifelong sheep farmer, National Champion Sheep Shearer and part of the Simcoe County Sheep Association and Ontario Pork Producers. He was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Springwater. Tom worked for Henry Farms for approximately 17 years until the disease forced him to stop. From there, he worked at fighting the debilitating, fast-moving disease. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the INNISFIL FUNERAL HOME, 7910 Yonge Street (Stroud) on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Own Hill Community Care Centre.
