Vernon Joseph Des Roche

In loving memory of Vernon Joseph Des Roche June 23rd, 1932 – December 10th, 2023. Vernon passed away peacefully at home with his family in Innisfil in his 91^st year of life.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Violet Des Roche.

Dear Father of Cindy (Maurice), Doug (Robin), Chuck (Beverley), Ken (Laura), and Mark (Theresa).

Survived by Siblings Albert, Jerry, Elmer, and Eileen and predeceased by Patricia, Shirley, and Helmer. Survived by sister-in-law Sandy and Shirley.

Grandfather of Shane (Jaime), Shannon, Sherice (James), Jason, Jessica (Korey), Krista (Jonathan), Bryce (Alyssa), Joel (Shannon), Jake (Amanda), Brittney (Matt), Sarah, and Katy (Cory).

Great Grandfather of Dakota, Hayden, Jacob, Faith, Hunter, Mackenzie, Hailey, Cameron, Callie, Andrew, Zakk, Jace, Alden, Isla, Noah, Grayson, Huxley, and Zayden.

Great Great Grandfather of Xavier, Lincoln, and Ivory.

Vernon was born and raised in Wellington, Prince Edward Island. He moved to Toronto, ON to work where he met his wife, Violet (Rowbottom), had five wonderful children, and finished his career at Consolidated Aviation Fueling at Pearson International Airport. He and Violet retired and moved back to Grand River, Prince Edward Island where they spent over 20 years enjoying the island together. He was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church in Grand River and spent his evenings playing cards with friends.

Vern and Vi moved back and spent his last years of life with his family and enjoying his many grandchildren.

Vern (Grandpa) will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation and Service will be held at Innisfil Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on December 13^th, 2023, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.

The service will be on December 14^th at noon with a Reception to follow.
